i've driven into vancouver countless times, but to this day, i still feel absolutely sick when we go down east hastings. homelessness and crack isn't a pretty combination. what bugs me is how ignorant other people are towards them. they treat the addicts like dirt, ignore them, and think that they're the worst people on earth. it kills me to think that once, they might've been a little boy or girl going to school. they were all born normal like us, but the life they had lead them into drug use. what bugs me the most are drug addicts with kids. no child should ever have to live that life of violence, fear, and despair. it's about time that BC did something about this problem, cause it's really, really getting out of hand.
